This strategic plan is a re-commitment to our mission, our core values and a validation of our fundamental approach.  It is also an acknowledgement that there is a lot of work to be done to ensure that public resources are put to good use and to improve our processes and products.  Over the past 4 years, NTA has pioneered mechanisms of engaging with society to promote public accountability.  Experience has shown that the desire for enhanced public accountability cannot be won without the support, participation and vigilance of the citizens.  In this regard, I acknowledge the shaping of our thinking in this strategic plan that was influenced by the interactions with the citizens through the Constituency Monitoring Committees and in the many forums that we held.
