Launch of NTA Citizens' Audit of CDF and LATF Funds
The National Taxpayers Association (NTA) has completed the second round of audits of Constituency Development Fund in 17 constituencies and Local Authority Transfer Fund in five (5) local authorities.
The audit was for the period covering the financial years 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. According to the findings, over Ksh500 million was wasted, misused or unaccounted for in the audited constituencies and local authorities. The key findings of the audit are listed in the tables above.
